Terms
Terms of use
Last updated 21 October 2026
These terms apply to your use of the Cirqular website and prototype at cirqular.ie, operated by Louis O’Kelly in Dublin, Ireland (“Cirqular”, “we”). Cirqular is not a registered company. By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not, please do not use the site.
An early-stage prototype
Cirqular is provided free of charge as an early-stage prototype for exploration and discussion. Features may change, be withdrawn or be unavailable without notice, and saved work lives only in your browser, so it can be lost if site data is cleared.
Decision support, not advice
Cirqular provides decision support based on the information available. Estimated and example values should be confirmed before operational decisions are made. Material classification and regulatory obligations remain the responsibility of the producer.
- Cirqular’s results are not legal, regulatory, environmental, engineering or financial advice, and do not replace advice from qualified professionals or the competent authorities.
- The requirements screening is a prototype encoding of selected rules. It has not been reviewed by a regulatory professional and does not confirm that any route is lawful for your material.
- Emission figures use illustrative factors for treatment and transport only. They are estimates for comparison, not a life-cycle assessment or a certified footprint, and must not be used for regulatory or sustainability reporting without independent verification.
- Savings and costs are estimates from the information entered and the destination data available. They are not offers, quotes or guarantees.
See Methodology → Limitations for what Cirqular does and does not check.
Example data
The example site (Greenfield Foods), its destinations, collectors, prices, capacities and locations are fictional and are labelled as examples. They illustrate how Cirqular works and are not real commercial opportunities or information about real businesses.
Information you provide
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter and for having the right to use it. Please do not enter personal data or confidential third-party information. How we handle information is described in the privacy notice.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to disrupt the site, access it in ways it was not designed for, overload its services (including the document reading), or use it to send unlawful or harmful content.
Intellectual property
The Cirqular name, software, design and content belong to Louis O’Kelly or are used under licence. Third-party components are used under their own licences. You may share results you produce for your own internal decision-making.
Liability
The prototype is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, Cirqular is not liable for any loss arising from reliance on its results or from the site being unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Irish or EU law.
Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the Irish courts have jurisdiction. Questions: okellylo@tcd.ie.
